Greetings Dear Friends from The HOPE.

Every now and then, without expectation, we hear back from some of those we feel so privileged to serve. Our dear MOH Scholarship Committee friend, Cindy Lloyd, shared a powerful moment with me and I just feel like I have to share it with you. Please enjoy this truly passionate and affirming appreciation memo from the heart of one of our scholarship students. And thanks for your friendship.

Sincerest Regards;
Emmette Thompson, Executive Director – Mission of Hope

Dear Emmette,

I wanted to tell you about a great response from one of our Scholar\’s. I\’m not sure of her name (Brittany…..) but she\’s a KY Student and I believe she\’s a psychology major. I was carefully watching faces when the Laptop Computers & Printers were revealed. She immediately started crying and I thought I was going to have to take her a tissue. I told her in the hall that I could see that she was surprised and happy. She started crying again, apologizing. I told her not to apologize, that her appreciative, genuine reaction absolutely made all my effort worth it. That seemed to calm her and please her. We had a very nice few moments and connected over this. What incredible feelings to witness, I\’d say many people live a lifespan without having a similar experience. What a privilege!! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of it.

Sincerely, Cindy
