We have now completed all of our scheduled 27 Back to School Delivery Programs. And, even had some extra new backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene bags to share with some of our Mountain Ministry Centers for those children which they serve. We ended up serving almost 12,000 students. What a tremendous blessing this is for our humble Appalachian Relief Ministry and what much needed resources these items are for the children. Below are pictures of some of the awesome students we got to assist this year. If you would like to make a financial donation to the Mission of Hope for the costs of this wonderful program, we would be immensely grateful and appreciative of you deeming us worthy of your support.
Do you remember how much fun it was to get new school supplies when you were a child? Parents want their children to have everything they need for a good education, but in Appalachia this privilege is sometimes an impossibility. The Mission of Hope needs your help with its 2015 Back to School Program. This is our 18th annual event and we plan to assist over 11,000 Appalachian children with the school supplies they will need to get a good start to their school year. A donation of $10 will provide a new backpack and supplies to a very deserving student. If you would like to sponsor one or more children, make your tax-deductible (we are a fully licensed 501c3 non-profit charity) check to Mission of Hope and mail it to: Mission of Hope – P.O. Box 51824 – Knoxville, TN 37950 or donate securely online via PayPal on our web site: Mission of Hope
The school principals and teachers tell us that this Mission of Hope program helps all their students start the new school year on an equal plane and they are so excited when they get these new supplies. And, the staff is grateful too.
Thanks for your friendship & support and for all you do to help us extend The HOPE.
Sincerest Regards;
Emmette Thompson – Executive Director, Mission of Hope
