Greetings, Dear Mission Of Hope Friends;

It never ceases to amaze me, but it does and it really shouldn\’t…How many come and how they get there.

Yesterday, at our annual Fall Outreach & Giveaway Event at the National Guard Armory in Hazard, KY; we had over 550 Families show up.  The gates didn\’t open until 8 AM; but there were over 100 people standing in line when we showed up at 7 AM.  And most of them were in dire need of urgent help.

It was a blessed day for the Volunteers who helped with both set up on Thursday and the distribution yesterday.  A special Thank You to Missy Miller and her Volunteer Team, in Hazard.  A special Thank You as well to our MOH Truck Driver Volunteers: Gary Brooks, Roscoe England, Danny Greene, and Don Peek.  And also to all of our MOH Volunteers who helped load 3 Trucks with Food, Furniture, Clothing, Hygiene, Household Items, Back To School Supplies, Toys, Bibles & Tracts.  And I was very grateful to have Rev. Jerry Webster go with me again this year, to handle our prayer and evangelistic ministry efforts.  I also want to say Thank You to WBIR-TV and John Henry, for a very powerful and heart touching story they did and actually showed on TV last evening.  You can go visit their web-site at wbir.com and view it there.

Yesterday, we stopped at different times in the program and just asked all of those present; to take a moment and catch their breath…And I would then pray and ask them to remember that Jesus Christ was their Greatest Source Of True Hope.  There were many who would come and ask Brother Jerry and I to pray for them and their needs and their families.  We took hundreds of Bibles and Tracts and gave out every one.

Dear God…Thank you for the privilege to be a vessel of your never ending love and compassion.

Sincerest Regards;
Emmette Thompson, Executive Director – Mission Of Hope
