Greetings, Dear Mission of Hope;
I first met our dear friends from Kentucky Mountain Mission in Beattyville, KY, about 3 years ago. And on my first trip there to view their Ministry Center I was totally amazed about what a special group they indeed were and also what a blessing their Ministry has been to so many, over so many years.
I just received this week a humble plea for help from their Executive Director William Owen for a Volunteer Team to come in and work on their wonderful Recreation Center. The tasks will be: Drywall Finishing, Ceramic Tile Installing, and Painting.
I am putting together a Volunteer Team to go there on Thursday, October 4th & Friday, October 5th. They have very good facilities for us to stay in. We will leave the MOH Office at 7 AM on October 4th, work both days there and return on the 5th. If some Volunteers want to stay and work on Saturday they can. I will be leaving Friday afternoon to go Grundy, VA; for the Remote Area Medical Clinic there that weekend.
If you have interest in going with us to this very special place, please call the MOH Office at 865-584-7571 as soon as possible. We will not be able to take more than 15 Volunteers. Please feel free to share this appeal with your Church\’s, Sunday School Classes, and any others.
Thanks for your friendship and support…and for all you do to help us extend The Hope.
Sincerest Regards;
Emmette Thompson, Executive Director – Mission of Hope
