Greetings, Dear Mission of Hope Friends;
Saturday represented a monumental day for the Mission of Hope Scholarship Program. We celebrated the first two, four year college graduations of our Scholars. But it was an even more monumental and incredibly special day for the two scholars and their families. We also had another scholar graduate from a two year program.
Jessica Caldwell, from Bell County, KY High School will graduated Saturday morning from Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY. Her two Mission of Hope Mentor Families, Steve & Ann Jones and Wade & Carolyn Meadows were there representing the Mission of Hope to celebrate this special accomplishment with Jessica and her family.
Joseph McDaniel, from Scott County, TN High School graduated Saturday afternoon from East TN State University in Johnson City, TN. I was there representing the Mission of Hope to celebrate this special accomplishment with Joseph and his family.
Jessie Seal, from Hancock County, TN High School graduated Saturday evening from Walters State Community College in Morristown, TN. His Mission of Hope Mentor Family, Larry & Rita Layman were there representing the Mission of Hope to celebrate this special accomplishment with Jessie and his family.
My friends please think about what this means to these families. These are truly \”life changing events\” for our Scholars. And they are to be commended for their accomplishments. They have each faced some incredible challenges and they could have easily quit and dropped out, but they didn\’t. They persevered and they dug in and they worked even harder and now their hard work and commitment will be acknowledged and rewarded. We are extremely proud of these AWESOME Scholar Students and we are honored to be associated with them. May God bless them all each and every day.
Thanks for your friendship and support, but thanks most of all for helping us extend True & Genuine HOPE.
Sincerest Regards;
Emmette Thompson, Executive Director – Mission of Hope
