Dear Mission of Hope Friends;

At the Mission of Hope, we try to give HOPE to senior high school students at 13 high school in the distressed Appalachian area we serve. These students desire to have a better life by continuing their education either at a two-year college, a technical/vocational college or a four-year college. We have learned firsthand, that the only true way to break the cycle of poverty is through education.

This spring and summer we will celebrate the graduation of 5 more of our Mission of Hope scholars for a total of 96 college graduates. We have several graduating in December of this year as well. Our graduates have received degrees in a variety of fields such as business administration, nursing, education, welding, diesel mechanics, social work, mechanical, civil & industrial engineering, electrical technology, occupational therapy, agriculture, economics, finance & management, and others.

The Mission of Hope college scholarship program is trying to help those that dare to dream. For the sixteenth consecutive year, we are awarding $3,000 scholarships to 13 new graduating high school seniors. This will give us a total of 53 scholars on active scholarship this fall.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CONTINUE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THESE STUDENTS LIVES. You can support our scholars by making a donation to the scholarship program either through our website at missionofhope.org, calling our office at (865) 584-7571 or by mailing your donation to P.O. Box 51824, Knoxville, TN  37950.

Thank you for helping to break the cycle of poverty and providing HOPE to students through the Mission of Hope scholarship program.

Sincerely,

David Heatherly – Executive Director
