Greetings, Dear Mission of Hope Friends;
WOW! Where did the Summer go?!
Well, ready or not, it’s BACK TO SCHOOL time at The Hope and we could really use your HELP!
We are immensely blessed this NEW school year to be able to serve 27 Elementary Schools in numerous depressed rural Appalachian Communities. Each school we serve has a horribly high free and reduced lunch percentage. And we now have 3 schools that have 100 percent of their students on free lunch. We have heard over and over from the principals and teachers at the schools we serve that the NEW backpacks and school supplies we bring help get all of the students off on \”The Right Foot\” as they begin a new school year.
We have to purchase almost the entire amount of Back to School backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene items that we are so blessed to take to each of these wonderful students. And as such, we must raise the financial donations to pay for these items. This year\’s Back to School Program will cost a little over $100,000. We faithfully trust that God will touch hearts and that will in turn provide the donations we need to help pay for this very special and much needed program. I humbly appeal to you today that if you feel led to make a donation to support our Back to School Program; we would be immensely grateful for your support. Perhaps your church, Sunday school, civic group, company, or other would like to make a donation for this cause. You can help us make a difference in a child\’s life. And they will truly appreciate it.
Thanks for your friendship and support and for all you do to help us extend True Hope…In rural Appalachia.
Sincerest Regards;
Emmette Thompson, Executive Director – Mission of Hope
