Puleo’s Grille Donates to Mission of Hope’s Hope Scholars Fund Knoxville, Tennessee – July 30, 2012

As the start of another school year approaches, Eric Yeager, General Manager of Puleo’s Grille, presented a check for $1,000 for the Hope Scholars Fund to Emmette Thompson, Executive Director of Mission of Hope. Mission of Hope (MOH) is a Christian-based ministry that shares hope with those less fortunate in the rural Appalachia communities of Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia. The donation was part of the Feed Their Future fundraiser presented by fellow MOH supporter Service Provider Group earlier this summer. The amount was a portion of Puleo’s sales from the 3-day fundraiser.

“We are so excited to have Puleo’s Grille partner with us to provide our Appalachian
neighbors with hope for a brighter future,” says Thompson. As part of this program,
$2,500 tuition scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors from each of the high
schools that students from the elementary schools served by Mission of Hope will
attend.

“We support Emmette’s conviction that education is the key that opens the doors to a
better life. Our managers and staff were proud to take part in this promotion and I’m
excited to say we’re already planning the next successful fundraiser,” says Yeager, who
manages the Puleo’s Grille Cedar Bluff location. “I’d like to add that the money we’re
donating is one way of giving back to the community that has been so supportive of our
restaurants over the years. We credit Mission of Hope’s supporters for showing their
support by dining at our restaurants and showing how much they believe in this
ministry.”
