Greetings Dear Mission of Hope Friends;

Every now and then we are blessed with donations of items that we really don\’t know what to do with when they come into The Hope. We sometimes can\’t always say yes to receiving such items, but we try to be positive and also thank the donors who offer them for their donation consideration to our ministry.

We were blessed a couple of years ago with 2 tractor-trailer loads of nightstand furniture components from a furniture manufacturer friend to the MOH. They were opening a new furniture manufacturing plant in a nearby city and they were testing their new machinery. They couldn\’t sell these test runs and didn\’t want to throw them away and thus offered them to the MOH. It was hard for Emmette to \”Just Say No\”, so we graciously accepted all of them.

Well, we have just taken the last donation of these wonderful items to several Ministry Centers and High School Vocation Centers for them to build them and get them out into their local communities. Several of those who received them shared with us that this is a great potential project for both students and adults. And it will allow them to build something positive out of something that otherwise would have been thrown away. It really is in a somewhat special way our attempt to \”Teach Them to Fish\”. And now those who both make them and receive them can have a positive Vessel of HOPE to enjoy and cherish.

Thanks for your friendship and support, and even more so for all you do to help us extend True HOPE.

Sincerest Regards;
Emmette Thompson, Executive Director – Mission of Hope
