Back To School Program

Mission of Hope's back-to-school program changes lives for students and families in Rural Appalachia

The back-to-school program is the best! Don't you remember how much fun it was to get new school supplies when you were a child?

Parents want their children to have everything they need for a good education. As has been noted, for families living in poverty in rural Appalachia, access to basic materials can be inaccessible without these back-to-school programs. Our comprehensive initiative is tailored to address the unique challenges faced by rural communities, ensuring that no child is left behind.

At Mission of Hope, we provide backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene for over 10,000 elementary school students across rural Appalachia. To keep this program going, we need your help. Finally, the back-to-school program is designed to provide vital support and resources to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive academically. Help bridge the gap and build brighter futures for our rural communities.

Teachers tell us:
This program helps all their kids start the new school year on an equal plane and they are so excited when they get these NEW supplies.

For example, a donation of $10 will provide a new backpack and supplies to a very deserving student.
