Dear Mission Of Hope Friends;

Yesterday was an amazing day for all of those present; at our Fall Outreach & Giveaway Event; in Williamsburg, KY.  From the moment we arrived at the Event Center, at 7 AM (Event began at 8 AM) when we were met by almost 50 people standing in line; we knew it would be special and much needed.  We ended up serving and assisting between 250 & 300 Families.  Everyone was cordial and well mannered and very orderly and many of those there, expressed their gratitude and thanks to many of our Volunteer Hero\’s.  The excess items we had left over; were taken to the Cedar Ridge Ministry Center which we were partnered with, by our Volunteers and Cedar Ridge Volunteers.

But without question, the Greatest Blessing Of All…Was the Evangelism Spirit that was present all day.  And we celebrate the Praiseful News; that over 10 people accepted Jesus as their Savior and Greatest Source Of Hope.  We also had many of our Volunteers pray for many of those present, who requested it.

We were indeed blessed in so many ways these past two days.  When we arrived at the Williamsburg Event Center on Wednesday morning to set up; we were greeted by Brother Keith Decker and some of his Staff, along with two different Mission Teams they had at their Ministry Center.  One was from a Church in Fort Mill, SC and the other was from a Church in North Georgia.  They jumped right in and helped us unload all 3 of our Mission Of Hope Trucks; loaded with The Harvest of resources that we had brought with us.  And the SC Team, assisted us yesterday; before they had to leave to return to their homes.

I want to say Thank You to all of those who helped make this Outreach Event possible this past week.  To Shirley Plant & Diane Webster at the MOH Office and all of those Mission Of Hope Volunteers, who helped load our MOH Trucks; on Tuesday.  To our MOH Truck Driver Volunteers; who drove the Trucks to KY.  To our friends at Rockford Baptist Church that both collected items for the MOH to take to KY and also to the Mission Team from their Church; that went to KY with us.  I also want to thank Jack, Ann, and Missy; from NorthEast Christian Church in Lexington, KY; that came and assisted us as well.  There were several other MOH Vol\’s who came and helped both days.  A special thanks to our Evangelism Team of Rev. Jerry Webster, Phil Peek, and David Lynch; who boldly proclaimed God\’s Word to many, many people there; and also helped lead those new Bothers & Sisters to know The Lord.  And I also want to express a very special Thank You; to Rev. Keith & Joyce Decker and their Staff; along with the Williamsburg, KY Convention Center; for being willing to host this wonderful event.

My Dearest Friends & Supporters…Yesterday lifted my heart in a way that you may never be able to imagine.  I have been burdened and heavy hearted at times this year; feeling that we MUST continue to boldly share The Gospel; at every opportunity we have.  It is indeed a blessed privilege to do so.

Thanks for your friendship and support and for all you do to help us extend The Hope.

Sincerest Regards;
Emmette Thompson, Executive Director – Mission Of Hope
